Morning Thoughts

Here is Ski-Hole. Jonas named him, and he was a fantastic jack-o-lantern. We enjoyed him for several days inside and then for several evenings outside on the porch,as he sent in his friendly, glowing smile. I really love pumpkins....they are such happy things. I always cringe when we have to get rid of them....perhaps that is why I am the lady that also has had her Christmas Tree on her porch (one year early-on in our marriage) until April when the springtime birds then began making nests in its dried-out branches. Sheesh. My poor husband was going crazy, but I have a hard time saying goodbye. I always have. But Ski-Hole met a timely demise and he has already vacated our porch and it is not even Thanksgiving---that is pretty good for me:) Other random thoughts for the week....

I keep telling Jonas that he has really cool grandparents. He really is so blessed, and I hope he (and his sister and brother) learn to really appreciate them someday! I mean, not that many grandmas would do this with their grandsons....we love you Mormor! What daredevils:)This little lady will be turning 1 in 2 weeks, and I am trying to find a cute kitty cake to bake...any thoughts? I have a few, but always appreciate other input and creative ideas:) I know that she is just going to love diving in to that cake, or perhaps cupcake, as Freya Jane seems to have a fully-developed sweet-tooth like her mama:)Jason has been working his tail of these days. The life of a teacher is never dull, and while he loves his job, it seems to wear us all out that the work never ends. Thank heaven for summers...and holiday breaks:) Happy Wednesday everyone!
