I love color. BOLD color. I love the pinkest pinks, the reddest reds, the bluest blues, the greenest greens....I am NOT a pastels person at all, or earth-tones, for that matter, in my decorating preferences...The more color, the better:) And, I pretty much refuse to buy most things in the color gray since it is depressing...and overcast, cloudy, nasty days make me sad, and especially in this dreary season, gray seems to be all there is, everywhere you look; therefore, I like to add color to my home wherever possible:) My dear sweet mother and I had a blast shopping for fabric to recover our (ahem...nasty) blah off-white kitchen chairs...they were not a good color to start with for having little ones (think orange juice, grapes, spaghetti sauce...children cooking:)

Anyway, Here are a couple "before" pictures--the best I could do!
(I wish I had taken one intentionally close-up) because these babies are a major improvement and all it took was some fabric and a staple gun (We used outdoor fabric since it is so much sturdier and will stand up to the abuse our family is sure to give it).
Also, outdoor fabric has an almost water-proof quality, this making wiping off the seats a cinch:) Jonas thought they were great, and Jason even mentioned how they certainly brightened up the room. Indeed. Bright. My aunt then sowed some hot pads and a mixer cover out of the left-over fabric for a Christmas present, and now, my kitchen matches:) Yay:)

Those are fabulous!! Great job!
Thanks guys:) It was fun to do:)
I'm a lover of color too! Thankfully, we were blessed to buy a house from a very artsy and color-loving family. Most of our house is full of vibrant color...the downstairs anyway. Unfortunately, the upstairs bedrooms are all pastel colors, so I'm working room by room to fix that. ;) Great job on the chairs. :D
