Always beautiful.
But especially beautiful this past weekend--we had the PERFECT winter weather---hardly any wind, tons of snow, lots of sunshine, and "warmth":) 20s! We packed in the full buffet of winter activities---snowshoeing, skiing, beach fire, tubing, exploring, drinking hot beverages whilst reading books, cooking, baking, laughing, playing games. Sweetness. My favorite things about winter....
all smooshed into one weekend:) (p.s. I look weird in this picture--it seems I am unable to take a normal picture anymore---motherhood has made me crazy and weird, apparently).
I have more pictures to add from August's elephant party and will share those soon! Also---I took Jonas skiing for the first time today at Afton and he loved it! We started out using one of the big chair lifts and then having a go of it down a green hill---Jonas was not happy and spent most of the way like a noodle, holding onto me for dear life. After that, Mommy thought it would be okay to go over to the bunny hill, which by that point, seemed much more manageable for Jonas---he was very contended to stay there and happily skied several times all by himself down this hill without falling. They even had large, colorful, foam shapes scattered over the hill for turning practice and a large foam elephant at the bottom for the kids to ski around (and into:) Jonas loved smashing into the elephant (named Henry). He is now an avid skier and can't wait to go back! (Lesson to parents: start big and scary and then the little hills seem like a dream--it worked for us:)
Happy Saturday everyone!
