Summer (part 1 of 1 million:)

Here are some pictures from our two week stay in Rockford...I have lots to share:) The big red bucket brings our family much joy---everyone should have one!  We have a blue one of the same kind here in Iowa, and we find so many uses for it---to play in, climb in, splash in, swim in, hide in....it really is the simple things:)

Dr. Seuss tattoo on her arm--that took forever to wear off!  She loves wearing her "Sim-suit!"

"Underdog Mommy!" "As fast as you can!"

We spend hours on the swings---Freya loves to tell me a number and then I push her that many times before the underdog---her favorite numbers are 3 and 4, and each time she thinks about her choice thoroughly before happily chanting, "Mommy, 3!"

August LOVES his new-found freedom at playgrounds---I still have to walk beside the structure as giant openings between the bars are his favorite to find and stick his foot through, but we are getting better and better at climbing and making it to the top and then sitting and sliding down.  The giggles this guys gets from a successful slide are my favorite:)

 And, yes, we find ourselves often throughout the summer months with a child or two without pants on for various reasons...one of the joys of being young!
