A Masters in Mommyhood

Here we are!! Back to the old graduate school grindstone at last! I just had my first thesis-writing class tonight, and it was so wonderful to see the 'ol cohort again...they can't believe Jonas is almost 9 months old, as the last time they saw me I was still with child:) Sigh...as we were brainstorming for topics, me and my fantastically inspirational discussion group, I kept thinking I should be getting my Masters in Mommyhood..the "Art of" ...so perhaps my topic should be..."The Nutritional Value of Organic Carrots and Other Assorted Pureed Vegetables as it Relates to the Brain Development and Well-Being of My Baby" or perhaps "How to Get Your Baby to Drink out of His Sippy Cup Instead of Just Chew on the Spout!"...I just have to get back into school mode and think critically and not about BPAs and teething ...this will be a challenge, but I am ready, and I am excited to get cracking, so to all of you parents out there that are in school...Cheers! We can do this, one diaper change at a time (between paragraphs:)
I love this little man: the most wonderful distraction a mommy could have asked for!

I liked the first topic, but I don't think Gerber would appreciate it much. :) :)

I'm hoping you will find a topic you love and have fun researching. You are much more disciplined than I would be with that beaming face staring at you!

Claire! It's REINdeer. Ach! The English prof's editing pen strikes via blog. I could ink up some other things but don't want to annoy you overly much ;-)

Is that Nicolas and Alexandra on your bookshelf? If so, excellent book. I suggest: Through a Screen Darkly by Jeffrey Overstreet. He also has two fantasy novels out--for Jase: Aurelia's Colors and Cynder's Midnight, a series with the third currently in pre-publication and a fourth being written as week speak (oops, unnecessary and tacky use of passive voice ;-) DFM
