Funny random story: Today at lunch, Jonas was sitting quietly in his high-chair eating his turkey sandwich and grapes, when all of a sudden he paused, looked at me, and exclaimed, "Please, give me my robe, or I am going to scream!" "What?" I asked him (not sure where this came from!)..."What are you talking about? And he said, "The lady in the movie said that." Took me awhile to figure that one out as we have watched a good amount of holiday movies in these past weeks including The Grinch, Mickey's Christmas Carol, Rudolph....and, can you guess....?? Yes folks, he was quoting Donna Reed (stuck in the hydrangea bushes) from It's a Wonderful Life---we had watched it on New Years Eve at the lake house with the family, and Jonas had quietly and contentedly sat on my lap and watched it through the first half before we took a break for dessert---and he loved the movie:) So here's another example of "kids are sponges". You never know what they are going to remember:) So thanks again, Jimmy Stewart, a quality film indeed: one my kids are going to have memorized probably as it's a family tradition. And one that I never tire of year after year:)
