When we were at my parent's house last week, Jonas and Freya (she encouraged us with her smile:) planted a garden! (and played in the hose of course:)
It was great fun and Jonas was so excited to get his hands dirty and decide where things were going to go--(we did a little rearranging, but he really did have some good ideas:) We planted peppers, tomatoes, marigolds, lemon basil, zinnias, and a few other kids of flowers! Such fun! I love getting out in the warm sun and feeling the wet soil and knowing that soon, things will be bursting forth from the ground--- the lure of farming on a much smaller scale:) Can't wait to go back in August and see the progress:) 
(Oh, and isn't my mom gorgeous? She is smelling the rose bush in the garden that has been passed down from several generations on her side---I think it might just be my favorite smell in the whole world!)
