Here they are...

Tulip Festival is becoming one of my favorite times of the year.  It is pretty fun to see a whole community come together and celebrate something that they are proud to remember: their roots.  And even for those of us that are not Dutch, it is fun to join in and just embrace the traditions and celebrate the customs--the kids had a absolute blast--this town really does go all out for this weekend, and even though the tulips bloomed about 4 weeks early this year, everybody made the best of it.  Denise got these traditional handmade costumes with room to grow and the kids loved dressing up!  Freya is entering that stage of loving to play dress-up, so this was a great excuse to get all fancy.  She even walked the parade route with her brother and Grandma and then rode on a float for another go-around!  She didn't wear wooden shoes, this time, however, because she was so enthralled with them that she just kept taking them off to play with them, so the purple Keens had to make due:)  Jonas didn't whine once about wearing a corduroy jacket in nearly 90 degree heat, and he was very focused on his street-washing duties.  Gotta love the sincerity in this 4-year old. He is very much like his Daddy:)
