Visiting Bristol

 Hey all! It's been awhile---I have some updating to do:) I'll start with some pictures from my fantastic trip to California to visit my dear friend Bristol.  We had a blast---always do...laughing, reading, adventuring, hiking, eating yummy food, squeezing Guster, discovering beautiful places, and reminiscing--this girl knows me so well (friends since we were silly 15-year-olds) and it is always sweet to be reunited.  I wanted to get in one more trip before this lovely lady leaves beautiful Berkeley and heads out to Boston later this summer.  August was a trooper---not such a fan of the plane, but he enjoyed having mucho alone time with his Mamma, and this Mamma enjoyed focusing on one child!  The Marin Headlands (especially Black Sands Beach) is certainly in my top five of places I love to visit--we'll be back here as a family sometime soon for sure:)  I love everything about you, California (except your OUTRAGEOUS traffic.) Enough said.  Sunshine, ocean, weird Berkeley folk and lemon trees: I love you most of all.
          In other news...August is sitting up now, Jonas loves watching Olympic diving, Jason has been attending an Educational Technology conference all week and missing us terribly, and I got to spend the weekend in IL with my dear sweet cousins, Tessa and Isaac...and, Freya is refusing to eat pretty much anything we give her, loving her independence (while becoming a much faster and intentional runner), and stealing water bottles from anyone she can find whenever she has the chance...my life is completely FULL with this bunch of kiddos.  Love them.
