Random thoughts:
We had a great time with our small group tonight...sharing Christmas cookies and singing carols. We put together two platters of cookies for some shut-ins at our church, and I am looking forward to bringing a child or two with me to deliver them in the next day or two...we'll see which kiddo is having a good day when the time comes--and therefore would be the most helpful in spreading Christmas cheer:)
We had an INSANELY busy Saturday and I was reminded anew that keeping things simple is essential. Trying to do too many things at once just leaves me feeling frazzled and spread too thin---I ran at the Y in the morning, went to go bake cookies with friends after that, dropped the kids off at a babysitters to go Christmas shopping, then went shopping, went to another friend's house for pizza with the whole gang, then ran home, dropped off the kids and had another babysitter come over so that we could go to a party. As soon as we got there and sat down and had a minute to breathe and think, Jason and I both sighed and said "Too much!" Good things yes, but too many of them.
We had a blast at the party though, and it was good to slow down and enjoy each other for a bit. I ended up with a Snuggie blanket after the white elephant exchange, and then my team won on the lightning round of Christmas catch phrase! Thanks, Michael and Bailey, for hosting:) Since theses two are our primary babysitters, it was such a blessing that we were able to find someone else. Enjoy the pictures:)
Loving the sled ride:)
Freya is loving the snow--it is so wonderful when they get to the age where it is fun.

And thanks, Mom and Dad, for a wonderful weekend full of lights, Christmas music, lots of snow and LOTS of laughter. These kiddos love you so!
