Well, as the new mom that I am, I have been finding joy is the funniest places these days...chew toys that actually make Jonas happy, diapers that don't leak, socks that stay on his feet, and recently the wonders of his Bumbo chair! If any of you have a Bumbo, you will probably echo my feelings...they are fantastic! Jonas has not mastered the art of sitting up quite yet, so for now, we are relying on the bumbo...a soft, plastic chair that holds him securely and keeps him in (no belts or clips needed...they work in the bathtub (although they also float, so make sure your child weighs enough to hold them down in the tub, otherwise they might float away...)We use it in his high chair for extra height and support (they have a tray too!), and just for fun!- it was perfect for camping, especially when we were setting up the tent...a safe place to sit in the wilderness! It was funny to see him sitting there amidst the pine needles and the boulders (he is my little outdoors-man!!) They are a fabulous invention; high-five to whoever thought this one up!...I honestly don't know how women did it 200 years ago...without a Bumbo and many other tools of the trade! If you are ever searching for the prefect shower gift, give the gift of Bumbo...(but don't give a hot pink one to a boy:) and you will have one happy mom and one happy baby!!
