For our anniversary, we swam across Lake Johanna...a special body of water for both of us:) In fact, for our first Valentine's Day back in college, we drove out on the ice to watch a sunset and exchange gifts:) The 23 of June was a bright a glorious day, hot and sunny...so we swam from Northwestern across to the public beach and back again!! I didn't know at first if we would be up for that, but it was excellent...such a good way to spend quality time together...at least my idea of quality time...conquering a challenge together:) We then headed over to Jamba Juice for some much needed calories...swimming makes me hungry:) We had our date during the day because my brother could watch Jonas and because I thought Jason had class that night...however, unbeknownst to me, he had already planned something, and David was in on it too:), for the evening due to a class cancellation, so to add to our wonderful day, when I got home from Target with Jonas, expecting a typical messy kitchen and bath time and bedtime, Jason had candles lit and had ordered take-out from one of our favorite restaurants, and had even picked up a mini-version of our wedding cake!! I have the most wonderfully thoughtful husband ever! He also bought me a polar bear book because I like them...just so you understand why I am holding a cake and a polar bear book
