A sweet visit

Jonas and I visited my parents a couple of weeks back----and don't worry, I asked my mid-wife and she said it was fine.....just no later than the week we decided to go though:) We had a blast, and here are some picture to prove it! It was so good to reconnect with family members (grandparents and aunts and a cousin) and just have a few very relaxing days with my mom and dad....I missed them, so hoping in the car for the 5 and 1/2 trip didn't seem like a big deal. Jonas is a fantastic traveling companion, and our trip pretty much entailed lots of snacks, lots of books (he can "read" for almost an hour now in the car---if we have enough books----I am so thankful for my little bookworm:), and one long glorious nap (for him, not me, of course). The weather was gloriously warm, so we even spiced up the drive with stops at two playgrounds, and we even made really good time:) During our visit we went to the famous Edward's Apple Orchard (no place compares to this orchard in my mind----yummy, yummy, yummy donuts, cider, pie,.... tons of stuff for kids to do, lots of samples (one of my favorite things:), animals to pet, pony rides, etc.....sorry, Minnesota, I haven't found an apple orchard yet that even comes close to the quality found here, so for now, we'll just keep making the trek south for my expectations of orchard fun to be met!) Jonas loved watching the little goats nibble our fingers (and my skirt and sweater too:) We also had breakfast at Stockholm Inn (for Swedish pancakes of course---one of my cravings that has seldom been indulged in this pregnancy considering I am too lazy to make them myself:), we made a Dalarna horse cake---a big one (for us) and a little one (for Jonas) with a delicious new recipe for red velvet cake (just for fun:) and played with lots of Brio trains (Wow! We really are a proud bunch of Swedes at my house:) I am so thankful that my brothers and parents took such good care of these trains while we were growing up so they are still around for future generations:) Thanks Mom and Dad for a great week! Next time we see you will be baby time for sure! It was funny to wake up early this morning and realize that I can now officially respond to the question....."When are you due?" with the reply...."Next week!" Oh my word!
