She can do. We're rollin' over these days, chatting, eating cereal, you name it, she's done it (well, not really), but I do feel like a mother of a much older daughter! She LOVES her solids (sweet potatoes are the fav right now!), and Jason and I have already noticed a positive change in her demeanor---much more happy! Probably because her tummy is MORE full! And lest you judge me all you young mothers out there, I just have to tell you that in earlier days, babies did get solids much earlier---apparently my mom (according to her baby book) was chomping on the solids at 3 weeks! And another friend said her mom started her at 2 months, so 4 months really isn't that early, I guess. I was so hesitant to try them for some reason, and now I feel silly. We've just got to do what's best for our lady:) She is still a stinker of a nurser, so I was hoping that this would work, and it seems to have done the trick! At her doc appointment yesterday she weighed in at
14 lbs 3 oz!
She's 24 inches long.
And....the doctor thinks she's gonna have red hair! (according to her eye brows, apparently!) Yup! It's lightening up folks, and I am thrilled:) Can't wait to see as more of it grows in! She also impressed him with her brute strength----she sat up when he held her arms and said this was something he didn't usually see until 6 months or more! Well, if he is impressed, then I can be too! Okay, I am done bragging now...I am so thankful for this little sugar bun, and am so glad we've made it to 4 months---my little lady now can believe that there really IS grass under all that snow!

Thanks for the darling pictures, Claire! Glad Freya might be a redhead! Lots of love, Mom
So glad she's happier now. Was she just not getting enough milk? :-( GLAD that you can substitute the foods... man, I'm not a big fan of the messy eating, so I'm waiting as long as I can. :-) CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU!!
I think it's perfectly fine that she's already eating solids! Keagan was ALWAYS hungry before we started solids, so I started at 4 months too and he was SO much happier after that! :)
