The kids looked pretty spiffy today for church, and, on our way out, of course, Jonas decided he wanted to climb the wall in the parking lot. So-- I decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and happy children and take some pictures:) We then headed over to REI where we spent our dividend and enjoyed the coupon---Jason got new Chacos and two new dry-bags for kayaking:) Can't wait for summer vacation!!

We've had quite a week here, folks....drama drama drama. Little lass has decided nursing is not her thing anymore, so I have been pumping and pumping and pumping. I do not love my pump. I love my daughter. And for her, I will do anything...including pumping. UHG UGH UGH!!!! So....that's where we are right now. My house is a MESS, and I shouldn't even be writing this post right now because I have so much else to do, but I needed a little repose. Church was wonderful today. I cannot tell you how THANKFUL I am for Bethlehem. There are HUGE transitions and changes coming, and it will be exciting to see how God works---What rich blessings He continues to pour out on our congregation---the sermon today made me laugh and cry (and I would encourage you all to listen to it even though JP is talking to our church, it really does apply to all churches:) I am so excited to be at a place where God is moving and ministry is vibrant and thriving---I know that these days are precious gifts to myself and my family because seasons at a church can change, and I know they will...but in the meantime I will rejoice! Piper talked today (among various other things) about how so much of what we deal with in life is not directly talked about in Scripture---whether or not he should continue preaching at BBC is not in the Bible or whether we as a church should split into 3 churches or remain as one is also not in the Bible, but we do know that the the Bible is crystal clear on what we should do when we don't know what to do: PRAY. Seek His face. God hears and just as he revealed his will in Acts 13:1-4 to the early church about sending Saul and Barnabas out, he will do it again. What an encouragement! So many of our decisions are not good or bad, clean or unclean----and in many cases, both options can seem plausible and often good choices. Praise the Lord that he directs our steps and is faithful through it all.Anyway, enjoy the photos. And yes, Freya seems to like her headbands....as long as they stay up--occasionally we hear a squawk from the backseat notifying us that it has, in fact, slipped over her eyes, and that my friends is simple intolerable.

Mom and I LOVE the pictures!!! What a beautiful day too! I can't wait to listen to Piper's message on line it sounds like much of what he said applies to many of us in our decisions.
Love, Mom and Zad
So frustrating about the nursing! :-( Sorry Claire. Isn't that when you just wish they could talk and explain themselves?? Good for you for pumping. I pumped for 4 months with Bella and then just used formula... it sure takes a lot out of you... Hope all is well with both of you.
And I miss Pipes. Desperately!
Hi Claire,
I have been blog-stalking your blog for a long time via Jenny Fugler's. I went to NWC with both of you, though never really crossed paths with either of you. Anyhow, my son who is almost 10 months, decided he didn't much like nursing either, so I have been pumping for him for most of his little life. Please let me know if you have any questions. You can email me at proverbs31chica@hotmail.com. It is worth it, but takes some patience and encouragement! Good luck!!
Thanks for the mini-devo by reporting your church experience last Sunday. I needed to hear that.
Lately, on my FB page, I see a lot of people bashing JP for his "bad theology" and his "farewell Rob Bell" tweet. They seem to be offended by our "relational" experiences with the Lamb of God. So sad. When I'm missing my daily prayer/devo time, I'm out of step EVERYWHERE else. Perhaps these people criticizing don't have a deep relationship with Him so they don't know how much they are missing? Thanks, Claire; great blog entry! DFM
