Introducing....

Marker Man. He made his appearance this morning. After waking with a tummy ache early, Jonas was told to go back and rest in his room for awhile before getting up. He was very compliant, and was very quiet for nearly an hour, and, as I plunked away on my thesis, I just assumed he had gone back to sleep. Wrong. As you can tell, he had been wearing a t-shirt (which has its share of marker residue on the sleeves), otherwise I have a feeling he would have been wearing much more marker than he was. He came out displaying his arms with pride and told me that he had colored them for me:) How sweet...that must have taken some time! Jason and I couldn't be mad---we just looked at our little artist and said, "Welp, guess its time for a shower" After much scrubbing, his arms are still a subtle shade of red...just makes him look tan:) Oh, 3 is a fun age indeed. Ahh, yes, and the pink marker smudges on the eyes add a nice touch too don't you think?

I love that you didn't get mad :)

Juniper has been doing this frequently. And it's hard to restrict her market access since Ane uses markers frequently. Last week she had drawn a nice line down each finger, colored both legs and the piano and bench. I'll admit it- when I saw the piano I got very mad :)
