Defense is done! I am so thankful for a wonderful, supportive family as well as a fantastic advisor who was patient and extremely motivating...Four years for a Masters, but with two, almost three, kiddos in that mix, I guess it's not too shabby:) It's also so hard to believe that 5 years have gone by since graduation from Northwestern....5. Crazy. And now both of my brothers are done with school too. My parents are done sending kids to college. Are you guys a bit relieved? I am sure:) With high hopes, Jason and I did open savings accounts for Freya and Jonas, and even though they both only have about $30 for college right now, at least that's a start. It is also hard to think of these two goofballs heading off to college when our primary concerns these days include sand-eating and potty training. It seems oh, so far away, but in the meantime, we are trying to make the most of every moment given with these two: embracing the sandy feet and faces, the slobber, the tears, the oodles of constant questions, the cracker crumbs, the globs of banana on sticky floors, the chubby feet, the giggles, the nerf-gun battles...all of it. Even after a nearly sleepless night camping last night, coming THIS CLOSE to wanting to kill every blasted cricket in the county, I still want to embrace it. Sleep, you are still sweet to me, but even without you, may I savor these even sweeter days.

Zaire,
I know it seems far away now but let me assure you it does not seem that long ago that you were eating sand in Door County and now you are tying to keep Freya from doing it!

Zad
