I joined a Bible study at church this fall...an inductive study of Judges. O man. This thing is going to whip me into shape--5 days every week of intensive study at home and one night at church and, this is not exactly a study of the most warm and fuzzy book in the Bible either. Ehem. But this is good for me...good to be challenged, good to see God in new ways, and good to be with other women that love Jesus and want His word to permeate their lives. So, if you think of me, pray that I would prioritize this--that after the kiddos hit the hay, I would desire to study because honestly, when 9 p.m. roles around, that is often the last thing I want to do. But when I do, it is so rich and so sweet and so fulfilling...here's to fighting for faith. The intro to the study includes a beautiful prayer, one that really encouraged me, so I will share a portion of it with you..."O Father, use whatever is necessary to keep us from losing heart, from becoming discouraged or wearied. If we are only able to do one assignment on one day and that's all we get done in a week, may we realize it is more than if we had done nothing. In the midst of an undisciplined people may we discipline ourselves for the sake of godliness..." Discipline. I need this. I need this in so many ways, but especially in my time with the Lord. This mother's heart is so easily swayed.

Beau-ti-ful Claire. Discipline in my walk with the Lord is something that I frequently lack. I'll be praying for perseverance in your study and that, in time, it will reap a great harvest in your heart.
