Preschool

Today was Jonas' first day of preschool...he LOVED it. He didn't want to leave and wants to go back tomorrow, so I had to explain that we only go on Wednesdays and Fridays. I am so happy that he loves it as I was a little sad to start this whole thing considering it limits my freedom with him a bit, but I have realized that he really is a kid that is simply going to love school. Knowing your child is extremely important when making these decisions about school: which one to choose, public or private, whether to home school or not, as a few of my friends have chosen that option---there is so much to think about! However, Jonas loves meeting new kids, learning new rules, and playing with new toys. He said, "Mom, I have two Elliots in my class and that girl in the purple jacket is my friend!!" along with a million other details about his morning as we were walking out to the car...he also loves wearing his backpack and knowing that he is in the Orange class. Seemingly everything about school: the organization, the schedule, the new faces and names, just thrills him to pieces, so I will admit, I am truly happy for my little scholar:) He just seems to blossom in these social situations---kinda like his momma, (I loved school too--I can remember hardly being able to contain my excitement as a kid when we would go to get school supplies---something about new pencils with sweet smelling erasers and shiny new folders just made me as happy as Christmas morning---what a nerd, I know:) Freya was so happy to see her brother when we picked him up---now two mornings a week it will just be me and little miss Chompy Chomperson, so that will be a change of pace for sure. These two are true pals:)
Also, another exciting update: 20 week ultrasound is tomorrow morning:) Are we going to find out? Guess you'll just have to wait and see along with Jason and me as we haven't decided yet:) And just for fun, here is a classic Freya pouty face...good grief, this child...:) I'm pretty sure she is jealous she can't go to school too.
