Boys and Girls...
These two little stinkers have been spending some quality time together lately (as her Mom and I have been enjoying a "kid swap" on weekday mornings:)
They really are the sweetest friends, and it has been fun to watch them interact and play together.
Today they were both interested by the same book (Tubby the Tuba) for some precious moments sandwiched between Jonas running around like a crazy man, wielding his plastic sword, and donning the boxing gloves to impress her. The entertainment has certainly not been lacking for his friend, and seeing them together reminds me how little boys and little girls are so so so different!! Boys are wild! (at least mine is:) So to those of you with little girls who watch me chase my little boy down the aisle at the store or see me run to his rescue as he attempts to descend the slide backwards headfirst while other children are ascending the slide, it is hard to understand, I am sure.... (many of you must stare in wonder and look to your sweet girls obediently sitting still)...but boys really are harder to control/reign in at this age. It's just the truth, but I am sure it evens out in the teenage years with drama, drama, drama!:) And I am grateful to be having one of each very soon---to learn and appreciate even more the differences as well as the similarities, because even though they're a wild bunch, little boys can be so sweet and thoughtful:)
Also, in other news, this yogurt is a favorite around our house---Yo Toddler (apple variety). Give it a shot if you are looking for a different, yummy snack for your little girl or boy:) Happy Friday Everyone!

I love ya, Claire, but I don't know... :-) My daughter definitely has a will of her own and does not LIKE TO SIT STILL! She, also, likes to run down the slide and climb up it backwards. She's a little dare devil and keeps me moving!! We'll just see how your little girl keeps you moving - she might just be a little YOU. :-)
Not to negate that boys and girls are different - Bella def. has that nurturing side, but I don't know if all boys are harder than girls at this age!! I always feel like Bella has more energy and "free spirit" than all her little boy friends.
We need to get our two crazy kids together... they'd have a blast! :-)
I think it depends on the child too, but I totally understand, Claire! Keagan is just plain crazy most days! I can hardly keep up with him! I have no idea what I'll do if we have another boy!!! :)
I agree Jenny:) I thought you would probably disagree on my assessment of girls and boys, and yes, it certainly depends on the child! Bella and Jonas would be so good together as it would be so refreshing to have him play with another spunky little person who can keep him on his toes and just let the wildness let loose!!! I mean it:) Someday soon!
our boys have a wrestling match every time they see each other...have a hard time picturing 2 girls doing that ;) i agree with your general analysis!
