Yikes!

This afternoon at lunch, Jonas, sitting in his high-chair with a mouth-full of "bapes" (grapes) yells out, "Mommy a mouse!" "A what?" I said, and to my horror (really a little too strong of a word--but aren't housewives supposed to be petrified of mice? :) A mouse ran right underneath me--through the kitchen and into the dining room! Yes folks, even on a second-story condo! The first thing out of my mouth was...."Where's that stupid Selina? This is her problem!" And of course, as you can guess, my "little echo" (aka Jonas) repeated that phrase until nap time----ooops!!----gotta watch that language:) Anyway, we have a mouse in the house, and I really hope Selina can pull her weight around here for once and do the millenia-proven appropriate thing for cats to do: Catch that mouse! And just supposing that she lazily ignores the critter....do any of you have any suggestions for appropriate mouse-catching?

try to get it cornered and lure it with produce (lettuce, carrot, etc)...see if that helps you catch it! This happened at my house in high school...both my cats just looked at it for a while and then got bored. they are not the best micers!! :)

Zaire,
Put out one of those safe mouse traps
where the mouse has to go into it. Seline has no front claws remember.

I am hoping Selina will chase it out your door! It might be looking for a warm place to winter. love you guys!

Thanks for the advice, dear family....as of right now, Selina is in the utility closet chasing that mouse, and I dare not open the door until Jason gets home! Hope it's a happy ending (at least for us, and not for the mouse!)

One time I tried to kill a mouse with OFF spray but it didn't work so well :) So, don't try that one!I hate mice!! I hope you can get rid of it soon!
