Update time...work today was crazy....this teaching thing is a ton of work while trying to get a little one settled and plan my lessons and find all my supplies...but so thankful for the opportunity to teach:) We had a good weekend. The weather has been gorgeous for weeks now...warmth and sunshine all over the place...seems like September is making up for what was lacking in our August. (Jonas and I at Bunker Beach on a blazin' hot day---he loved the wave pool:)-
I certainly don't mind and put out a personal request for summer to stick around as long as possible:) Michael, Jason's brother, turned 20 today so we took him out for a little double dinner date with Bailey--we went to Clauddaughs Irish Pub in honor of our missing Irish food-vinegar on our chips and good soups and such:) It was fun. Thanks to my brother for babysitting! Jonas, by the way, has added around 30 words to his vocabulary in the past weeks...it is unreal how quick this little man is! Every time our buzzer goes (doorbell for the downstairs) he says...Dabe! (translation: Uncle Dave:) and points to the door. (here they are at the FARM)--trying to be gentle with the kitty--also a new concept for Jonas--but we try!!
Dave does come over often, but it is just so sweet that Jonas remembers and wants him to come:) He is also saying backpack, baby, uh-oh, bath, nigh-nigh (night-night), dog, water, among various other words...his sign language is still going strong, and I am so thankful that we took the time to teach him...so helpful! Here are a couple of more recent pics from the end of this summer-Door County in August---I will put up some cherry picking pics soon--they are adorable! I promise to get better about this but maybe not for a couple more weeks as we are still using the poopy old laptop right now awaiting some new release from Mac--or so my husband tells me--he is convinced that something better and faster is on the horizon, so I must wait patiently until it is unveiled. I love him. I just can't wait to get a new computer that doesn't think it is its own administrator--this one has a mind of its own, and we can't even change the screen saver from those stupid little eating ants!
Daddy and Jonas napping it up in the hammock...it doesn't get much more relaxing than this!
I love this one---we were out at Whitefish Dunes State Park for the day and Jonas kept destroying my sandcastles, so I built him a little village of his own to smash:) He loves the sand!
