Baby-proofing perfection...

Thank you, Dad. O, for making our porch "Jonas proof!" Grandpa O. so lovingly came up this last week and added slats between the existing slats that were almost 5 inches apart! You can see in the picture...really wide spaces, and we were worried that Jonas, or some other unsuspecting little one, might fall through or get stuck, but now that fear is a worry of the past! He did a beautiful job, and we love knowing that we are all safer...Selina included:) Also, he made me a shelf to match...for storing deck chairs and other odds and ends...gardening tools, etc. Thank you so much!! Here it is after the job, and I still have a wonderful view and good sunlight for the plants:)Jonas very much enjoys watching the variety of wildlife scurry around...we have tons....here is a list of some of the regulars of our backyard...squirrels, raccoons, ducks, and now ducklings, geese, and now goslings, red-wing blackbirds, blue jays, cardinals, finches, robins, and various other birds I have yet to identify...it is a bustling world outside, and it is so fun to see the trees fill-in, even if our view of the lake is decreasing by the day...green is good too:)
Also, on Thursday, Jonas and I went garage-saleing! It was so fun...we headed over to Woodbury (located east of us, just south of 94) and found some great deals....piles of kids clothes-each 50 cents...and some books and toys for 25 cents...:) We met up with some friends from our small group and had a really fun afternoon. The weather was gorgeous, and a few of the girls even found some bigger things for really cheap like a Burley, a Moses basket, a sled, and a double-stroller:) Woodbury does this every year...people in the area have their garage sales on the same three days...the second weekend in May, so you can go to one street and visit 4 or 5 sales, which is super convenient when you are getting little ones in and out of the car...we will definitely be going next year:) Yay for garage sales and spring!

And, last, but not least... here is random cute picture with Jonas and a friend...this age is so fun:)
