So it's HOT here...so hot in fact that my little boy won't sleep. He actually sat on my lap just minutes ago and ate the ice cubes out of my water(yeah- too hot). I decided that Minnesota needs some encouragement sometimes...everyone can be so hard on her during the cold months, and I have decided, now that we have entered hot season, to list a few reasons why I am thankful for winter---and, mind, you, this is easier to do when it is hot-since we, as humans, are always wishing for what we do not have.
Here goes....10 Reasons to Love Winter in Minnesota
1. no ants in my kitchen
2. no wasps on my porch
3. no stupid geese hissing at me when I run by
4. flannel sheets on my bed
5. Everyone sleeps better, especially Jonas
6. cozy nights
7. fires in the fireplace
8. snowstorms
9. snowboarding
10. and last, but certainly not least, air conditioning dries out my contacts
So there you have it! A pretty convincing argument, if I do say so myself, but summer....I love you too...so bring it on (and maybe a good ol' fashioned thunderstorm, please:)
