This morning Jonas had a friend over...and while this is a very common occurrence around our house...we are always going over to someone's house or meeting them at a park or something...today was one of the most successful play dates I think we have ever had. Several components contribute to the success of this play date: 1) Jonas and Justin are the same age (only 1 week apart!)---and this is so nice for boys, because oftentimes, Jonas is too rough with littler kids and big kids get really bossy with him, so it is nice for a mother to have him play with someone his age (and weight for that matter), so it's an even match:) 2) language levels are about equal, so they can converse with each other (so sweet!)
3) They are both such Boy boys if you know what I mean...they hit each other and plow into each other, knock each other over and neither one seems to mind (and neither do the mother's, which is good too---the worst is when Jonas is playing somewhere and (most often) accidentally pushes or bumps a little kid over and the mom gets all huffy and snotty and swoops in to rescue her child with a grimace in my direction---"Really, lady?"-- I just want to say----Boys will be boys!) 4) It's even more fun too when the mom's have lots to catch up on and the kids can entertain themselves for the most part:) Thanks, Heidi!P.S.
