Oooo, Mommy, me go swimmin'!

Soooo...this week, we decided to do something different and fun as it was Jason's spring break...so the three of us headed to Kohler, WI....a beautiful town in eastern Wisconsin...complete with a gorgeous resort--The American Club-- which, if I may brag for them, is the Midwest's only AAA Five Diamond Resort Hotel, and, wonderfully enough, I had a deal for a $109 night stay, which was a steal considering starting prices for a standard room are double that at least! We had an amazing room overlooking the gardens where the first signs of spring were making their debut)...isn't it amazing how the flowers push their way up through their, and I quote, "Dead ancestors" ? Spring is a miracle every year!
The room was complete with a huge whirlpool bathtub, which, upon his first sighting, Jonas exclaimed the title of this post, "Ooooo Mommy, me go swimming!!", and thus he took the most baths in a row of his lifetime:) Ah the simple joys of life! Kohler is also the home, for those of you that appreciate the world of design, "The bold look of Kohler"---design center and factories....they are a proud bunch, and we have to admit, we got to see some of the coolest bathrooms ever in the design center. It is amazing how creative people are with the regular old run-of-the-mill facts of the life----the bathroom! In fact, I found myself really wanting to take a shower after seeing all of those cool fixtures---ones that come out of the wall, the ceiling, you name it! ...and, I do suppose that the bathroom really is a sanctuary of sorts for personal hygiene, so hey, if that's your thing and you want to spend $20,000 on remodeling, then, by all means, go for it! They have every color, every shape of every bathtub, sink, toilet imaginable....it was inspiring:) We took some walks and went hiking and a little shopping too...the weather was absolutely gorgeous---65 degrees both days and we soaked it up! Jonas even got his first slight sunburn of the season...a healthy touch of pink on those little cheeks and nose, and Daddy always turns a handsome brown so quickly! We had a blast, though we felt under dressed the entire time, it was so fun to enjoy such luxury and beauty for a short time:) (Here the boys are enjoying the elevator...fun for all ages:)Ah, yes, and here a couple of pictures just to illustrate how the hotel room changes when you have kids...not quite the same:) And, last but not least, here is a cute picture of Jonas showing all of his new bottom teeth! The smile keeps changing!!
