Ramblings and photo shoot with an apple...
The weather has been wonderful wonderful wonderful here these past days...and actually all of March to be honest...the weather guys keep harping on the fact that this is the first March on record EVER for the Twin Cities to have NO SNOW! And today being in the mid-70s certainly helps! In fact, the large snow pile outside by the driveway has officially exited the premises, and although Jonas is a little sad as that snow pile contributed much to his entertainment over the winter months, we are ready for spring!
Today I taught, (and we had a test in one of my classes and the students talked me into letting them sit outside...which, I love to do, I just had this thought that they would be distracted, but they are old enough to know that, so we did, and they finished that test nice and quickly:) Anyway, Jonas and I stopped at the store on the way home for some fruit and odds and ends...and while we were in the produce aisle, Jonas piped up in his very serious-sounding voice and said, "Oooo, Mommy, Big Kiwi." And he raised his little arms above his head and said it several more times, well, when I turned around, I discovered that he was talking about a watermelon:) Little kids are so sweet with their descriptions...they know what they know and perceive and understand other things in this context, and it can be quite humorous at times. Then, we came home and put shorts on, and he immediately thought we were going swimming because the only reason we have worn shorts in the last 6 months is just for that purpose and not for everyday attire:)
So, right now he is marching around the house thinking about swimming and eating his "Big One"---which means the WHOLE apple....
he is not into pieces of anything anymore...just "Big Ones!" (sandwiches, cookies, crackers, fruit...anything! Happy Tuesday Everyone!

He's such a darling blondie. Can't wait to see you this summer. Bella's been wearing shorts too the past two days and has already skinned both knees and stubbed her toe. Welcome summer!
