today... June 23, 2006, we took the big plunge... and now if you ask me if it feels like a long time ago, I would say sometimes yes and sometimes no...we loved our wedding and our honeymoon was without a doubt the best week of my life---(Jason would agree:)---so it is fun to remember and pull out the photos and talk about the highlights of our fourth year together--and think ahead to the fifth. It is quite amazing how the years keep passing...and now we're in our mid-twenties! Sometimes it seems like this time in our lives should feel different, like we've arrived or something, but it doesn't. I guess that's part of the adventure---that it is ever changing, and we simply don't know what the Lord will bring into our lives. But it is good to do it with someone you love, who is committed to you; a best friend for the journey:)
I love you Jason Armando (as Jonas so loudly blurts many mornings from his crib:). I love you and pray for many more June 23rd's to celebrate with you even as the seasons change, and we get old and weird, and our kids grow up....In many ways, it does seem like yesterday that we jumped with such excitement into that silver mustang, taking off into the sunset....our first drive together as husband and wife, and I think, in many ways, it always will... because part of me still feels like a 22-year-old bride---ready and waiting for whatever comes our way, knowing that with you by my side, we can do anything, go anywhere, look every challenge in the face with courage and strength because God has called us together and has kept us together for such a time as this.
