Beautiful Summertime

Jonas and I spent 10 days in Door County this June...the first few I spent with my dear college friends, reconnecting, laughing, having heart-searching conversations, and eating really yummy food. The weather was crummy, but all we really wanted to do was talk, so it worked out----we can talk anywhere---inside, outside...and it was so sweet to be together for our annual summer weekend. The Lord has been so good to us, and kept our friendships strong over the years since college. They are a true blessing to me! And...Jonas and Lisa got to be pretty close buds too:) Then, on Saturday, all of us girls went down to spend the night at Lisa's new house--where we did more laughing and chatting---and my parents watched Jonas at the house. The next day, we bid our farewells and I headed back north and spent the rest of the week with my mom as she was recovering from surgery----then on Tuesday, we went down to Green Bay and picked up my aunt and cousin from the airport, and had several wonderful days with them---the weather was beautiful, and I couldn't believe how much we accomplished in 4 days!! Jonas adores Tessa,... and it was so good to be with them and just enjoy family time----we did alot of eating at our favorite places in Door County.... a little shopping, swimming, playing in the sand, ...canoeing, playing Skip-Bo, and, of course, we had to visit the one-and-only....The Farm. It was a wonderful 10 days:) And I even found the perfect sunset.
