Jonas at it again...

Jonas has been cracking us all up lately with the things he is saying....so observant, this fellow. Can't get much past him, that's for sure. Last Friday, we went swimming at Lake Johanna on a bright, hot sunny afternoon, and as we were driving in to campus, Jonas pointed and exclaimed to the building on his right..."Mommy, Daddy dorm!" Keep in mind that we hadn't talked about it in over a month when we were there last time for a softball game! What a memory:) (Also, I don't think he has any idea what a dorm is...but he knew it was important to us:) Then, when we got down to the beach, Jonas and Jason were playing around in the water...Jason was standing in knee-deep water and Jonas thought it would be fun to swim around and through his legs....after splashing through a couple of times, he exclaimed, "Jonas swimmin' through Daddy's hallway!":) Interesting interpretation. However, his favorite thing was when the boats would come by....he would say, "Oooo big water!" After awhile he said, "Daddy! Jonas want more big water!" Which we then realized was his interpretation of waves!...Pretty clever though...even without the vocabulary perfected, kids find ways to communicate their thoughts:) This age is such fun! Translating and waiting for another funny comment brings such vibrancy and spice to life:)
