The MMR and Chicken Pox vaccine are the most guilty, however there are others that contain the cells as well. After doing more research, several other articles and even drug-company ingredient lists, my fears were confirmed. It makes sense from a scientific perspective; Viruses cannot reproduce on their own. They require a living host in which to grow, such as chicken embryos or cells from animals that are grown in a culture. So really, what better host for a vaccine for humans than human cells? But for some reason, that hadn't clicked in my head....where were those cells coming from? Well, now I have my answer. Often always animals, but also human babies. So this isn't just a fear of autism or putting-poison-into-my-child issue anymore---it is a moral issue. And honestly, right now, it makes me want to steer clear of the vaccines entirely. Stay tuned for part 2: more thoughts.....Let me know what you are thinking too---I really enjoy comments:)

It's hard to believe....Part 1
But it's true. And I am sorry to admit that I didn't know it in time to make a decision based on all the facts. What am I talking about? Vaccines. Now before I go on, I just feel like I have to explain. We had Jonas vaccinated----I did research into the whole "vaccines causing autism debate" and really found that this is indeed not true. Vaccines, overall, do not cause autism, however certain ingredients, namely thimerisol (a common one) on its own, is still up for debate and does seem to have a link in the onset of autism. Scary. However, after all was said and done, we decided to go forward with the shots, but to spread them out---I felt like if anything were to make him sick or cause problems, it was potentially the shear volume of giving 3 or 4 shots at a time. I asked my pediatrician, and he agreed, so Jonas had a more "spread out" vaccine calendar. Now that he is 2, he won't need anymore until he is 4, which is a relief, but I have a baby on the way, and with her arrival in a few months, all the questions and concerns come to the surface again. And here's why: Vaccines that we give to our children not only contain things like mercury, chick embryonic fluid and fetal bovine serum, but they actually contain human diploid cells from aborted fetal tissue. Yes. It is what it sounds like. Cells from aborted babies. I don't know if you knew this, but I was shocked when I heard it from a dear friend. She sent me a helpful link breaking down the ingredients for the different vaccines. http://www.informedchoice.info/cocktail.html Check it out for yourself.

I read that the chicken pox vaccine and the other one (sorry don't have my info right now) were from 2 abortions from the 60s. It is definitely unsettling. I do feel a little better knowing its not from ongoing abortions. Curious what others think too.
We waited to vaccinate Keagan until just now. He had his first round of shots just 2 weeks ago. We waited for a lot of the same reasons -- I couldn't stand the thought of him being injected with so many things when he was so young. It's such a hard thing -- you want your child to be safe, but you don't want them pumped with a bunch of things that aren't good for them.
