We finally got it! Well, actually Jason has been saving for 3+ years now (Christmas gifts and birthdays) and he finally took the plunge and made the dream a reality. He has been researching like crazy, and finally decided to go with the Fusion model made by Pyranha from Midwest Mountaineering ---he seems very happy with his purchase...and Jonas and I love it too:) It's fun when you like your husband's new hobby almost as much as he does---so needless, to say, we're still saving, and maybe next summer, we'll get #2! We decided not to go with a tandem because we know each other too well---and we both like to do our own thing, so having singles is the best bet for us and our future paddling adventures:) This kayak is really cool as it is a hybrid model meant for whitewater but also good for smaller lakes and rivers---the Great Lakes on a calm day are fine too, it's just that this baby is meant for maneuvering around rocks and turning on a dime:) And it's so freakin' fast! :) Here is a video from our day out on the water---Jonas is learning early....what a little stinker; here he is only 2, and Jason is 27---Jonas has a little head start on the whole kayaking thing, don't you think?Wednesday, August 4, 2010
Kayaking!! With our new kayak:)
