A Lovely Date....
Last night, Jason and I got to go on a date! It was such a needed time to just be together and just laugh and talk and laugh and talk----I love dates with my husband, but for some reason, last night was an especially anticipated one. I looked forward to it for days, and the time couldn't come soon enough! Any of you with kiddos know what I mean? I love Jonas, and baby girl came with on this date (so we weren't alone really:), but it was so sweet to just be with Jason. We found this perfect little cafe in downtown Anoka called
(Truffles and Tortes)----every review I read about this place said it was absolutely wonderful, "decadent chocolate tortes" "a unique place to take a date" "scrumptious desserts".....you get the idea----I was looking for a dessert place instead of looking for a place to eat dinner because we both always want to get dessert, but always run out of room! I figured that if we started with searching for a dessert place and they happened to have food too, then great! Truffles and Tortes was everything the reviews said----the perfect date spot for us---they serve lighter portions of food (we had quiche and soup and salad) so that you are sure to have room for dessert! And we did! Yummy yummy yummy! (We split a little cheesecake and the "Chocolate Nirvana" (and it had creme brulee in it!---my favorite!) Then, to top off the evening, we went and saw Toy Story 3....
I know, I know, this came out over two months ago, but we rarely go to movies, and this was one we both wanted to see, so we made the drive to one of the only theaters still showing it--and oh boy did we laugh! I haven't laughed that hard at a movie in ages!
Hilarious....(and I have to admit, I cried a little to---it's the hormones, people!) But this movie was extraordinarily well done....the perfect end to a perfect evening:)
